Not Just a Certification
A Formation in Healing, Science, and Spirit
Whether you are pursuing professional certification, deepening your personal practice, serving in ministry, working in clinical settings, or exploring your next chapter, our trainings are designed to cultivate both competence and character.
We welcome students from diverse professional, spiritual, and cultural backgrounds. Our Yoga-Alliance Accredited programs are grounded in trauma-informed principles, nervous system science, and classical Yoga foundations, with options for both faith-integrated and traditional experiences.
Hi, I'm Lenora Rousseau, lead instructor and founder of the Pointe of Grace Yoga Institute.Â
I’ve brought together more than a decade of education, research, and professional experience—and more than 10,000 hours of teaching Yoga and movement—to create trauma-informed, evidence-based trainings that help people grow as teachers and as human beings.
As an E-RYT 500, ordained minister, certified spiritual director, and social-work professional, I have spent years integrating Yoga, behavioral-health education, spiritual care, and whole-person approaches to resilience.
Our trainings are created for people preparing to step into the next chapter of their teaching, service, or vocational calling with greater knowledge, confidence, and purpose.
Military Spouse Scholarships & Support
Lenora founded this program as a military spouse, and we are honored to support military spouses pursuing meaningful, flexible, and portable career pathways. Eligible students may qualify for up to 100%Â tuition through the SpouseWorks Scholarship (formerly MyCAA).

A trauma-informed approach recognizes that every student enters the room with a unique body, history, nervous system, and relationship to practice.
For us, this means:
- Every sequence is created with nervous-system regulation in mind
- Every cue supports clarity, choice, and accessibility
- Every student is invited to remain connected with their own experience
- Every teacher understands their ethical role and professional scope
In training, this looks like clear instruction, scaffolded learning, personal practice, individual support, and practical teaching preparation.
We don’t assume experience. We build it.
Why Train With Pointe of Grace?
The POGYI Method: Where Science, Tradition & Trauma-Informed Practice Meet
Evidence-Based
Learn the why behind the practices you teach.
We honor Yoga’s history and philosophical foundations while exploring how breath, movement, attention, and interoception affect the nervous system. You’ll develop language for explaining the physical and regulatory purpose of a practice without making promises outside a Yoga teacher’s professional scope.
Trauma-Informed From the Foundation
Trauma-informed teaching is not treated as one isolated lesson or optional addition. It shapes how we approach sequencing, cueing, class structure, student choice, accessibility, and professional boundaries.
You’ll learn to consider the different bodies, histories, experiences, and levels of regulation students may bring into the room.
ARC-Based SequencingÂ
Our ARC sequencing method provides a repeatable framework for creating classes with intention.
Rather than collecting disconnected postures, you’ll learn to develop practices that gradually support awareness, regulation, and completion of the stress cycle—while still leaving room for creativity and your own teaching voice.
Compassionate and Impactful Cueing
Effective cueing is more than telling students where to place their bodies.
You’ll practice using anatomical, proprioceptive, and interoceptive language that helps students understand their options and remain connected with their own experience. Our approach prioritizes clarity, choice, and accessibility without overwhelming students with unnecessary instruction.
Individual Guidance and Support
Online learning should not mean navigating teacher training alone.
Our programs include individual support to help you work through course material, strengthen your teaching, prepare for program requirements, and consider how your training connects with your goals. The amount and focus of this guidance varies by program, but human connection remains part of the learning experience.
Education That Continues With You
Teacher training is the beginning of your development—not the end.
Graduates retain lifetime access to their course materials, allowing them to revisit lectures, resources, worksheets, and future curriculum updates as their practice and teaching continue to evolve.
Bring Your Experience.
Discover What’s Next.
You may come to teacher training through a personal Yoga practice, professional role, spiritual calling, lived experience, or desire to serve a particular community.
You may hope to teach in a studio, incorporate Yoga into ministry, complement your work in wellness or healthcare, partner with a nonprofit, support military-connected families, or create accessible practices within your own community.
Or, you may not know exactly where your training will lead yet.
You do not need to have it all figured out before you begin.
Our programs provide a strong trauma-informed foundation while creating space to consider how your interests, experiences, and values may shape the teacher you are becoming.
Real Students. Real Impact.
