The Flourishing Journal | July 2026
As we move into July, we find ourselves reflecting on something that often feels surprisingly difficult: simply showing up.
Whether it is returning to a Yoga practice, making space for rest, exploring something new, or taking the next step toward a long-held goal, showing up rarely feels perfect. Yet time and again, we find that growth begins not with having everything figured out, but with being willing to begin where we are.
This month, we're sharing a few opportunities to continue that journey, whether you're looking for encouragement, curious about Trauma-Informed Yoga, or exploring where your practice might lead next.
Featured Blog Post | The Practice of Showing Up
Our newest blog explores one of the most common struggles many of us experience: waiting until we feel more energized, less stressed, or more prepared before beginning a practice that we already know helps us.
Rather than asking us to show up perfectly, Yoga invites us to simply show up honestly, allowing each practice to meet us exactly where we are.
If you've ever found yourself thinking, "I'll practice when life settles down," we hope this reflection offers both encouragement and permission to begin imperfectly.
Ways to Connect This July
If this month's reflection resonates with you and you'd like to explore further, there are several ways to connect this month.
Our final live-online Christ-Centered Yoga class and Yoga Teacher Training information session before the Fall semester begins will be held on July 10. We'd love to welcome you for a time of practice, conversation, and an opportunity to learn more about our pathways to certification.
Military spouses planning to use SpouseWorks (formerly MyCAA) funding should also note that July 10 is the deadline to begin the funding process for our fall cohort.
If attending live isn't the right fit, we've also created our free Discover Trauma-Informed Yoga resource, where you can experience an on-demand class and learn more about our YTT programs at your own pace.
Know someone who has been curious about Trauma-Informed Yoga or Yoga Teacher Training? Feel free to share our Discover Trauma-Informed Yoga page with them. It's designed as a welcoming introduction for those who are just beginning to explore what Trauma-Informed Yoga is and how our training programs can support both personal and professional growth.

We hope this month offers opportunities to slow down, reconnect, and remember that showing up, even imperfectly, is often enough.
With care,
